How Quiet Wall works

Stand back and photograph the wall where the art will hang, with the sofa, bed or sideboard in front of it. That furniture tells us the scale. A second, wider photo of the room is optional and helps us read the style.

Your photo stays private, is never sent to the image maker, and is deleted after 30 days.

The colours are measured straight from your photo, not guessed. The wall comes from the clear stretch where a print would hang, read by its lit side so a shadow doesn't make it look darker. The room's other colours are weighed by how much of the photo they fill, and the strongest one that isn't the wall becomes its accent.

Then Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, reads the room: its style, the light, the furniture and where a print would hang. You see this reading, with a frame drawn where we would hang it. If you would rather it went somewhere else, drag it there.

Trust the room. We make eight pieces across the styles that suit it, the ones people actually live with: abstracts, landscapes, botanicals, animals and more.

Something specific. Pick one of the eight styles, and all eight pieces are made in it, in different techniques and subjects, still in your colours.

Each piece is made new for your room with AI image generation, in the look of a real medium such as gouache, linocut or risograph, and printed as a giclée. They are not hand-made, and we will never say they are.

Not every piece copies your wall. Some use its own colours, some pick up a colour the room already has, and some stand out from it with an opposite colour or strong light against dark. The reading decides how many of each: a busy room gets calmer pieces, a dark or strong wall gets more that lift off it.

Why both? People tend to rate a colour with its own shades as the most harmonious, yet most also prefer clear contrast between light and dark, and a warm piece on a cool wall or the reverse (Schloss and Palmer, 2011). Tastes differ, so your four include at least one that matches and one that stands out.

Every piece is checked up close for anything that would spoil it on a wall: muddled shapes, stray text, a border painted in. Anything that fails is remade. A curator model then scores each one hung on your wall, for fit, for craft and for whether you would want to live with it for years, and picks four that differ from each other.

Each piece hangs on your photo at its real size. Switch between the two sizes and seven frame finishes, and the wall updates as you go, with lamps and plants staying in front where they belong.

If your wall is too busy for us to pick a spot, we say so, and you drag the print to where you would hang it. There is also a to-scale view on a plain wall in your colour, and the artwork on its own.

Your piece is printed as a giclée with pigment inks on 200gsm EMA fine art paper (enhanced matte), framed behind acrylic and sent ready to hang by our UK print partner, Prodigi.

Delivery is free in the UK and usually 5 to 7 working days, occasionally up to 14. If it arrives damaged or faulty, tell us within 14 days and we will replace or refund it.
